you can just fling it in the water and test the ph after a few hours after circulating the water.  &quot;Soda Ash&quot; can stain a black bottom pool so beware.  you can also use baking soda.

start slowly by not adding too much.  measure and note how much a handful changes your pool&#039;s ph.  keep notes for future references.  every pool is different.</description>

Do you mean pool chlorine? Add half a cup of it to a bucket of clean water. It will dissolve easier in warm water. Be careful and don&#039;t get it on your hands or in your eyes. When dissolved, add the bucket to the pool. If it doesn&#039;t all dissolve, pour the water into the pool and put more warm water in the bucket.
Get your water tested at a pool shop or use the test strips from the supermarket. It is much easier to add small amounts of powder than it is to remove it from the water</description>

You can just broadcast the necessary amount  or mix it with water and do the same.  Make sure you test the water with a pool test kit to determine how much chemical you need to add to your pool. You can really screw up your chemical balance if you don&#039;t.</description>
