i own a pool company all you have to do is dissolve it in a bucket of water just a little at a time wait a hour re test and do it again if nessary eleven years experince

you can just fling it in the water and test the ph after a few hours after circulating the water. “Soda Ash” can stain a black bottom pool so beware. you can also use baking soda.

start slowly by not adding too much. measure and note how much a handful changes your pool’s ph. keep notes for future references. every pool is different.

Do you mean pool chlorine? Add half a cup of it to a bucket of clean water. It will dissolve easier in warm water. Be careful and don’t get it on your hands or in your eyes. When dissolved, add the bucket to the pool. If it doesn’t all dissolve, pour the water into the pool and put more warm water in the bucket.
Get your water tested at a pool shop or use the test strips from the supermarket. It is much easier to add small amounts of powder than it is to remove it from the water

You can just broadcast the necessary amount or mix it with water and do the same. Make sure you test the water with a pool test kit to determine how much chemical you need to add to your pool. You can really screw up your chemical balance if you don’t.
